The Handwork Studio's story began with our founder, Laura Kelly, and her search for a preschool. What she found was a place where teachers lovingly guided and nurtured creativity in their students. This sparked a love of creative learning that made Laura Kelly decide to continue her children's creative activities beyond school. Kelly hired a teacher and invited the neighborhood kids to join, and her business was born. The Handwork Studio has since grown to a year-round studio in Narberth with 40 summer camps in 10 different states. We are a group of passionate, nurturing, empathetic teachers with integrity that continuously work toward self-improvement, who strive to foster a creative exploration and self-confidence in our students that will last a lifetime.
