This summer will mark our first year with the Kent Place School. As we expand our Handwork Studio camps further into northern New Jersey, we look forward to spending a week with our friends at Kent Place this summer.

The Kent Place School, an all-girls' K-12 college prep school, is located in Summit, New Jersey, just 5 miles from historic Watchung Reservation. Kent Place was founded in 1894 by a group of businessmen concerned about their daughters' quality of education. Thought it began as merely a one-building institution, Kent Place expanded over the latter part of the 20th century and early 21st century, obtained status as a non-profit, greatly increased the student body, and raised millions of dollars in scholarship funds. Today the school boasts a community of 800 members, including students, faculty, and staff, and attracts students from over 72 different communities across New Jersey. The Kent Place campus sits on 26 acres in a suburban setting, about 20 miles from New York City and in close proximity to the upscale towncenter of Summit. Many of the buildings on the campus are in the cozy English Tudor architecture style with state-of-the-art classroom interiors.

We look forward to offering both Handwork and Machine Sewing & Fashion Camp programs at this location.
