The Handwork Studio is preparing for its most exciting Summer yet. If you (or someone you know) has a passion for the needle-arts, endless energy, and contagious charisma, the Handwork Studio wants you!

First condsider what position best fits you:
- Lead Counselor- To qualify for this position you must be at least 21 years of age with extensive experience working with children and comfortable with many of our crafting techniques.
- Specialty Counselor- To qualify for this position you must be a minimum of 20 years of age with experience working with children and working with many of our crafting techniques.

Junior Counselor- To qualify for this position you must be a minimum of 17 years of age and have a strong desire to work with children and a passion for the needle-arts.

Counselor in Training (CIT)- To qualify for this position you must have attended Handwork Studio classes in the past and be at least 14 years of age.

Volunteer- To qualify for this positon you must have attended Handwork Studio classes in the past and be at least 12 years of age.
Qualifications for all candidates:
- Must be available to attend Orientation at Rosemont College on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. If you are traveling from at least an hour away we will provide room and board
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday's, 8:30-3:30pm approximately (times subject to change)
- High energy; able to sit on the floor and/or stand for an extended period of time
- Must enjoy crafting in one or more of the following skills (do not need to be an expert); knitting, crocheting, machine sewing, embroidery, and/or needlepoint
- Passionate about working with children ranging between the ages of 3-17 years
- Possess infinite patience
- Loves to be silly and joyous
- Neat and organized.
- Must be willing to travel
- Must have reliable transportation
Work Environment
Our environment is casual but fast-paced, team oriented, creative, friendly and centers on child development. We take our work very seriously which will require you to follow or guidelines and understand why and how we work with kids.
